Scar Camouflage

Specialized pigment or inkless treatments designed to soften scars and help them blend naturally with your surrounding skin.

Scar camouflage is a customized treatment designed to reduce the visual contrast between a scar and the surrounding skin. Depending on the scar, skin characteristics, and treatment goals, either pigment-based camouflage or an inkless technique may be recommended.

The treatment plan is individualized based on the scar’s maturity, color, texture, and location. While no treatment can erase a scar, scar camouflage can help soften its appearance and create a more natural, blended look.

Suitable for surgical scars, self-harm scars, and other scarring that has fully matured and lightened. Every scar is assessed first — texture, age, and pigment all affect what is achievable, and Leslie will tell you honestly what to expect before you book. Results build over more than one session, with a perfecting session once the skin has settled.

Her detailed explanation of what to expect from the procedure before, during and after set my mind at ease. I was given several opportunities to assess the progress and give my feedback. I am very pleased with the results and planning what to go back for next!

Scar treatment options

  • Inkless Scar Revision A pigment-free treatment designed to improve the texture and appearance of scars through natural skin rejuvenation.

Inkless scar revision is a specialized treatment that uses precise microneedling and a regenerative serum to support the skin’s natural repair process without adding pigment. The treatment is designed to improve the appearance of scar tissue by addressing concerns such as texture, tightness, and unevenness.

Rather than covering the scar with color, Inkless Revision focuses on improving the scar itself and encouraging a smoother, more refined appearance over time. Results develop gradually, and multiple treatments may be recommended depending on the age, texture, location, and characteristics of the scar.

  • Pigment Scar Camouflage A custom pigment treatment designed to soften the appearance of scars and help them blend more naturally with the surrounding skin.

Pigment scar camouflage is a specialized paramedical tattooing technique that uses carefully selected pigments to reduce the contrast between a scar and the surrounding skin. Custom color matching and precise placement help create a more blended, natural-looking appearance.

This treatment does not remove or change the texture of the scar. Instead, it focuses on visually minimizing differences in color and helping the scar blend more seamlessly with the surrounding skin. Treatment plans are customized based on the scar’s maturity, color, texture, location, and individual skin characteristics.

Multiple sessions may be recommended to gradually build and refine the color for the most natural result.

Questions about scar camouflage

  • Is my scar ready for camouflage?

Scars need to be fully matured and lightened, usually at least 6 months to a year after injury or surgery. A scar that is still pink, red or raised isn’t ready yet.

  • Should I choose pigment camouflage or inkless revision?

Pigment camouflage matches the scar’s color to your skin. Inkless revision improves texture, tightness and unevenness without adding color. Some scars benefit from both. Leslie will recommend one after assessing yours.

  • Will the scar disappear completely?

No treatment can erase a scar. The goal is a softer, more blended appearance that draws less attention.

  • How many sessions will I need?

Every scar is different and needs a different number of sessions, scheduled 6 weeks apart.

  • How much does it cost?

Each scar is quoted individually, depending on the size of the area.

  • Do you treat self-harm scars?

Yes. Your privacy and comfort are always a priority, and every appointment is a safe, confidential, and judgment-free space.
